We should do nothing until we at least have NATO on board. I know it is terrible, but it has been predictable. This is exactly what happens when a 7th century culture metamorphoses to a 21st century culture.

7th century cultures were mostly barbaric. The entire middle east will probably go up in flames caused by the ignorant tribal loyalties and prehistoric cultures that routinely torture women and men for that matter.

You're painting the ME with a very broad brush. The tribal loyalties are mostly in Libya and Western Africa; not Syria. In Syria its more to do with religious differences but that's the subtext. The main issue is that al-Assad is a tyrant who does not want to relinquish his power.........a thesis as old as human civilization. And he is willing to kill hundreds of thousands of Syrians and torture thousands more to keep that power. The simple question I think Americans need to ask themselves......do we care?
