Alper, Speaking of the "future", look at LGND's after hours trading: quote.com (just click on the summary box to see the individual after hours trades). All of the exchanges will show at close of 13 15/16 on a 300 share trade. However, after the close, the action really started, and most of the trades were ABOVE the closing ask price. I've never seen this before. In the past, these trades between 4:00 and 4:20 are always with the closing bid/ask range. They don't affect the closing price, but do raise the volume. LGND's volume of over 270,000 is the highest since Halloween.
