There are too many internet posters that post with an agenda instead of searching for the facts...and they are all experts in their minds...lol


I think that those who are obsessed with man destroying earth scenarios, like AGW are not really motivated by an agenda or that they are experts in their own minds. I think that the root of their problem is much deeper. I believe that they cannot accept how small and insignificant they are in this universe and it helps them to feel that they have some power over their lives if they view humans as demi-gods with much more influence on their surroundings than they actually have.

I like to think of our insignificance in terms of garbage. Los Angeles has 3 active landfills. Puente Hills is the biggest. The active landfill area is about 1km^2. When you look at the size of Los Angeles and the millions or people, it seems like we would need a landfill that was massive.

Basically, I think it makes them feel important if they perceive themselves as powerful enough to cause the climate to change.
