John, the idea about crazy right and left is a myth. It is true when you get far right they are crazy. But when you get far left you get the best and the brightest.
Here is my logic. Feel free to debate it.
The right, as I have said many times, lives according to myth and script. So the more conservative they are the more primitive e.g. as you move right to the very conservative Jews, Christian's or Muslims, you get more and more dogma until there is no room for free thought at all. It is all dogma.
But on the left, they live according to facts and logic. So when you go to the far left you get UC Berkeley (most noble prize winners of any university in the world), 51% of all scientists that call themselves liberal, Plato, Einstein, Russell, Whitehead, Huxley, Twain, Lincoln, Chomsky, and pretty much all the great thinkers in history. |
