Jer: CALM---Calm-----calm Pull up the charts from the olden days on Silky Sullivan, ol son. He was the BEST stretch running horse ever to grace the shores of the USA. If the current racing calling termonology were used for him ........it would be .......... Out of the gate , the worst start has made Sullivan lose contact with the field In the far turn Silky Sullivan is making a concerted bid to catch the horse in front of him and both are far out of it At the top and into the turn, Sullivan has passed but a single horse but is reaching his best stride In the turn Silky has it in gear and is closing fast but a long way to go to catch the pace setters Coming down the lane, Silky Sullivan has DRAWN A BEAD on the field and is making a strong bid and is COMING on the outside At the sixteenth pole stide by increasindg stride Silky is making up an unbelievable amount of ground against the leaders and he is COMING STRONG HE IS-- GAINING ----AND --CAN ---HE -GET----- THERE-- At the wire----ITS SILKY SULLIVAN BY A NOSE .... again....
