Saw an interesting article on Borland concerning the Visigenic acquistion in InfoWorld's December 1 issue (last page). Gist was that since Visigenic and Borland are excellent in their own niches that the battle for the enterprise was theirs to lose. Overall it seemed to me that the author favored the deal as a necessary part of BORL's push into the enterprise arena. Visigenic will also continue to sell their product separately (a good thing IMO). Check visigenic.com. (sidebar esp. interesting direct sales snippet... or the Visigenic lead-in!)
