We've got the Republican House siding with Putin, Iran and China!

Obama is a master at boxing his political opponents in rhetorically. This time is no different, except that he has created a box for himself as well. He masterfully gets out of the box by claiming everyone owns the red line, if that sells. If Rs don't vote to support the attack, then he can lay any Hezbollah or Assad action at their feet in the future. If they do vote to support the attack, then they loose their right to object to escalating regional conflict and the global embroilment which stems from the attack. Rs may have caught on to this gambit and are seeing the necessity to think and act out of the box. Obama still seems in control of the message via the media though.
