"What desperation financing? They now can pay for their NSN investment without reducing existing available cash."

Why would Nokia need to preserve cash so desperately? Nokia ended the 2nd quarter with 9.4B EU gross cash and 4.1B EU net cash, with 400m EU in negative cash flow. Even after the NSN close, they should have had plenty of cash to last until the D&S transaction went through, unless operating losses were accelerating.

"What low valuationsale"

Nokia just sold a business that was generating revenue at a 2.7B EU quarterly run rate for 3.8B EU. This is a price to annualized sales valuation of 0.35.

"Question: if this is a desperation sale, what volumes do you see for Lumias andnon-Lumias in Q3?"

I think the operating loss will be bigger than expected, and shareholders will be relieved that D&S is in the process of being sold. Can you imagine the shareholder revolt if D&S were to report blowout upside performance? As for volumes, my guess is slightly higher, maybe 9m Lumias, but declining revenue sequentially.
