Well you have represented the pessimistic outlook here"

"Analysis of what remains of Nokia: ...no more potential blockbuster businesses
1.Patent portfolio... subject to expensive litigation and delay
2.NSN...in a volatile market and with a history of losing money except recently
3. Here:...a amall business which never lived up to its potential and with plenty of competition
Msft gets devises, which IS a potential blockbuster business for "cigarette money"

Now for the optimistic:
1.Patent portfolio... a very sizeable annuity going forward.
2.NSN...after years of losses has recently turned the corner and is now a profitable division.
3. Here:...a small growing business with so much potential upside that Nokia, under no circumstance, would give it up to MSFT.

Msft gets devises, which IS a potential blockbuster business for "cigarette money", and according to the pessimists, before MSFt paid $5B for it, was considered of ZERO value to Nokia.
