VERY STRONG SERVICE PROVIDERS PERFORMANCE

Today the service providers had a very strong day with MAST,IMRS,CBR,CBSL,and KEA gaining as a group close to 10%. Today was particularly noteworthy because the large cap stocks were down while small caps were up.The markets have been driven in recent weeks by interest rates and the Asian Crisis. If the focus reverts to strong earnings growth the Service providers are a growth segment with less downside risk than the tool segment within the Y2K sector. The Y2K sector as a whole was up 2.9%.
