You see what I was saying about mean models! :) In general, I don't believe there is

any protection from price-in-time-series oscillations of this sort, esp if they go on infinitely (in theory they can, in practice they don't). I think it's something traders just learn to deal with ..... by saving on barbers, for instance. At these times they just pull out their hair.
