Pancho, the market cap/share price of a stock should reflect the present value of future cash flows associated with the stock. "Should", well, maybe. But wouldn't it be boring if it did? No need to even open the exchange. As far as the "short span of the y2k problem", the title of your homework assignment for tonight is "When will the y2k problem be over?"
