Latest Tiger catalog has 1/4 page description of the Champion drive under the heading "Superior Performance Hard Drives" Stresses largest cache, remarkably silent operation, Ultra DMA, Sealed unit for protection and highest available MTBF of 500,000 hours The JTS 3.2 drive is highlited vs other drives as "3.2 GB Ultra DMA Incredibly priced at just $189" This is least expensive of similar sized drives listed and seems competitive in seek time (a little slow vs some better than others)higher transfer rate (33 mb/s) than most and a larger cache than all competitor drives listed (512k for JTS, 128k for Fujitsu, WD & Seagate, 256k for Maxtor) Wonder if they sell any?
