Yes, they are so much more inhumane when they're used on YOU instead of the people you hate.
Your point is taken; however, it is not as you say "indisputable." Any reasonable argument would consider Hitler's use of chemicals against the Jews as the use of "chemical weapons", and in fact even the left-wing Washington Post, in criticizing Kerry's idiotic, historically ignorant remarks suggesting that only two other "tyrants" have used chemical weapons, put Hitler at the top of the list.
It is true that "most" (NOT "all", or "nearly all", which would be required for indisputable status) historians argue that Hitler didn't use chemical weapons in battle; however, the reason is definitely disputable. There is considerable support that he didn't want to use them because of the fear or retaliation, which was substantial given FDR's policy of "no first use".
As to my knowledge of history or lack of it, I'm not going argue who knows more; only to say that on this particular topic you are dead wrong. I think there is a good chance it has less to do with your lack of knowledge than it does your stupidity for refusing to call the gassing of Jews what it was -- which is the use of chemical weapons. |
