Nokia management did just a great job extracting value from this transaction and restoring value to their remaining assets.

Naturally, I wish I'd held a little longer, and I hope Nokia continues to run and their D&S and Here prove to be great growth assets.

Nokia saw what was coming three years ago and planned for contingencies very well. The phone division lives on, backed by a company with great resources. And the value of Nokia's other assets have been unlocked.

Blackberry management has been delusional. Just living in some fantasy land. Its really sad. They'll have less to show than Nortel when this is all through. Nokia had the perfect backup plan. Blackberry? Nothing.

There is absolutely no chance that Microsoft will buy Blackberry. Who is left? Lenovo? Even if they got regulatory approval (fat chance), Blackberry simply waited far too long. Their assets and failing business really have no value left to these companies.
