Hi ratan, all

Can anyone define who the "pros" are? I have heard that the MMs are concerned primarily with keeping the book (the # of shares in inventory) balanced while primarily making money on the spread, and thus have little vested interest in the future price of the stock.

Is this the correct view, and if so, just who are the "pros"?
