It seems that the manufacturers go one way or another; build on the cheap, or attempt to go the quality route.

In my experiences, with the exception of Airstream and a couple of fiberglass manufacturers (Scamp and Casita), the high/quality end builders don't last long.

Scamp and Casita build small units, thus keeping their price point competitive.
