Yep, it's just me & my wife. We are retired.

Here's a couple of campgrounds we liked:

Walnut Hills near Staunton, VA. It's a KOA and a bit pricey but really nice. A great "home base" to explore Civil War sites if so inclined.

North 340 campground near Waynesboro, VA. Nice sites, fewer amenities than Walnut Hills but more reasonable.

Amelia Family Campground at Amelia Courthouse, VA. REALLY nice folks own it. John & Ferne. They established the campground over 30 years ago and have hosted 2 Bluegrass festivals every year.

A couple we liked coming across the US:

Isleta Pueblo just south of Albuquerque, NM.

Checotah / Lake Eufaula West KOA Campground near Oklahoma City.

KOA in Bowling Green, KY
