If you're gonna credit Rudy with the reduction of crime in NYC, you better give him credit for the reduction of crime in the entire country.....crime peaked in the US in 1972, flattened out in 86 and peaked again in 1990.....been coming down ever since.....all over the country.....gee, who was president from 1993-2001??


Violent crime in New York City has been dropping since 1990.[1][2] In 2012, there were 414 homicides, the lowest number since at least 1963 when reliable statistics were first kept.[2][3] Crime rates spiked in the 1980s and early 1990s as the crack epidemic hit the city.[4][5]
