Mr. Gregory Clarkes – CEO
Mr. Clarkes is a financier with over 25 years of experience in raising capital for public companies in the resource and industrial sectors. He has been a major shareholder, as well as an officer and director, of many junior venture companies, and has been instrumental in helping them formulate business plans and strategies resulting in successful utilization of their financial resources. He was the founder, director, and significant shareholder of Skye Resources Inc., which was sold to HudBay Minerals Inc. in 2008 for $460 million. Greg is a Director of Mena Hydrocarbons, formerly Skana Capital. Mr. Clarkes is also a Director of the privately held resource company, Rossland Resources Inc.
Mr. Neil Halldorson, MBA – President
Mr. Halldorson has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and in the management of public companies. Prior to joining PNG Gold, he was an independent consultant providing corporate finance services to public companies, as well as acting as Chief Operating Officer to a TSX listed resource company, Redzone Resources Ltd. Previously, Mr. Halldorson served as a director and CEO of a TSX-V listed merchant bank Skana Capital Corp. He was previously the Vice President of Corporate Finance for national investment bank Union Securities Ltd., as well as a senior corporate finance regulator for the Vancouver Stock Exchange, the predecessor of the TSX-V. Mr. Halldorson graduated with honors from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts in economics and subsequently earned an M.B.A. from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Lorne Warner, P.Geo – COO
Mr. Warner is a professional geologist with over 30 years production and exploration experience in the minerals industry in Canada, USA, Mexico and Brazil, mainly with Noranda Exploration Co. Ltd (now part of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce or CVRD) and Placer Dome Inc. (now Barrick Gold Corp). During his tenure with Placer Dome, Lorne led the western extension and discovery of several new gold zones at the Detour Lake Mine. More recently, Lorne has worked in West Africa as Vice President, Exploration for Rockgate Capital Corp., which discovered the Falea + 30 million pound U/+40 million ounce Ag/Cu North Zone Deposit in Mali.
