With the last tax increase and the Obama Care IC tax the top rate is well north of 40%. Loop holes are the problem - not rates. As part of closing loop holes we need an HONEST discussion of how capital gains are taxed and municipal bonds are tax free - not demagoguery.

The top total rates of say NY and Ca can be case studies.
