>> Costco's Profit Soars To $459 Million As Low-Wage Competitors Struggle

From their financial statements:

26.7 Million GoldStar @ $55
6.4 Million Business @ $110
3.8 Million add-on @ 55

Total Membership Fees == $2.382B

Total profits, last four reported quarter = $2.031B

As I said, ALL of their profits are in the membership fees.

>> Walmart's Sams Club gets membership dues and doesn't make the profits of Costco Costco manufactures a lot of their own products.

Not sure what you're referring to, but CostCo does not manufacture its own products. While it has a store brand which comprises roughly 10% of its sales, they are purchased from manufacturers just as Walmart & Sams do.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Sams Club's profits are not broken out separately from Walmart's, so there really isn't a meaningful way of making a comparison between Sams and CostCo.
