Had we done away with the Clinton era banning of guns in military establishments (which made both Fort Hood and the U.S. Navy Yard 'gun-free' zones -- i.e., fire-away zones for terrorists), maybe our people would have been able to better protect themselves and a few, or all, of those twelve lives wouldn't have been lost.
