Vaguely remember something about when the AC/DC "start-up" was happnin, that it was Nikola Tesla who paved the way for the cheaper, more efficient AC, with invention of the alternator. I remember him describing how he "saw" the device, in front of him, in the dark airspace of a night sidewalk, in perfect three dimensional rendering, operating, and his companion recalled him pointing out the specifications and features. Frank LLoyd Wright was this way, and I'm sure someone knows the name of it. I hope.

And maybe it wasn't the "first" alternator, yada yada yada; why ruin a recollection with facts.

The electric lecture wasn't meant for you. I had a feeling you knew the stuff. I don't know who it was meant for. Maybe me. Bzzzzt.
