This is a great news for US and Canadian federal government customers, health sector customers as well as other market sectors that require FIPS 140-2 validation for deploying any platform. Windows Phone 8 has received all 9 FIPS 140-2 cryptographic module certificates from the US CMVP and Canadian CSEC validation programs.
