They should have all military cops in uniform. There are very few of those and there are just a few marines. I don't even know if the marines have ammunition or not. They guard the VIP gate to the small Admiral's Housing area including the home of the Chief of Naval Operations. I've been told that most of the military police are overseas. Some of the cops couldn't run 100yds IMO and some I think are too old and slow to be effective. I've always thought somebody could sneak guns onto the yard but figured the background checks would stop that. I thought that DoD installations in general could be hit with a Mumbai like attack. That would be really scary.
