Michael That was a very interesting post. It was much more intelligent and also more insidious than someone like HLl who is somewhat redundent and very obvious.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with shorting. It is part of the market mechanism that makes this whole thing work. The act of shorting alone does not make someone "evil" or "bad". However, lying , half-truths, and distortions do. Where did you see Austin post this weekend? You "wonder" about what he is doing? You "surmise" he is reading the thread? You then use that base of "facts" to "wonder" if he is posting using an alias? What if Austin was reading the thread? That simple act that you make sound so sinister, sounds very human and innocent to me. IF he was reading the thread(BTW, Hi Austin,) I would surmise he was reading about a company that he has a financial interest in, nothing more and nothing less. C'mon........ that type of arguement is far below you. You are much more evolved than that. Do you want a "do-over" also? The truth is,I don't even think you are a shorter. I think that you may short a 1,000 shares of this or that occasionally, but basically you are small time. However, I think eveyone in life deserves a chance. Tomorrow, when the market opens, you will get the chance of a lifetime. Take a BIG plunge, bigger than you are used to, say 5,000 shares. Short the heck out of it. I hope you do.
