Understand the short time frame, however that is a limit you folks have imposed upon yourselves, and shouldn't substitute for thorough DD. As far as not being licensed to operate in every state, their are a lot companies in that situation. I'm not sure that NDB is licensed to operate in every state. As far as the integrity of First Flushing is concerned, they have been around since 1985, and they use US Clearing Corp as their clearing firm which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Quick & Reilly Group. Securities held in your account are protected up to $50M. I don't think many of us have a concern there :)

I've also reported on TradeStar (who purchased Savoy). Although their commission structure is a little higher, they also have a flat fee for any number of shares ($14.00 listed, $24.00 for penny stocks and foreign stocks. I called them, and you can only trade Canadian over the phone. They don't have a quote service for Canadian stocks and must call for quotes. However $24.00 flat fee for broker assisted trades at market is excellent as well.

Lots of different options out there. Each of us has our own situations that we must look at to see what is right for us. With a lot of eyes and ears our there, we should be able to come up with some winners collectively, and then it's just a pick and choose situation for your own specific needs as to which one is best for you.

Aloha,
Bert
