US West buys Continental Cable.

This deal just announced. USWest pays over $5B for cable TV company.
This amounts to over $2500 for each Continental customer and sets the
price per subscriber at a new high level. As I see it, this deal has
favorable implications for TLTK in that a TLTK buyout would be based
on a dollar value per customer. What I don't know is the price per
customer for telcos; anyone out there no this metric?

Also CNBC had interview with CEO of Comcast who said the race is on
for consolidation and partnering in the communication business with
the goal being to establish nationwide integrated companies.

This bodes well for TLTK because of their growing nationwide customer
base which will give communication companies a quick start in building
their system.

Opinions?

best.............Bill
