Thean, i'm not very good at timing and have very little knowledge about taxes, but from what i have read: Institutions are buying now because the market has done well again this year and they do not want to be seen as having too much in cash. It is expected that the market will tread upwards to new highs before he end of the year. January is almost always an up month because of IRAs and new investments. IMHO, if you haven't sold yet it is too late to sell, subtract of taxes and buy back. BTW, i follow your post because your TA has proved to be pretty good, am i wrong that you sold a few weeks ago and were still waiting for "long white candle sticks"?
