NT would be the only fat OS they could port, Win98-99 is too x86 specific. This would be a non-trivial task however(NT 5.0 is like 22+ million lines of code) and it doesn't make much sense considering they went to the trouble of developing CE for that market. CE is the best bet for set-tops. Hey, hold on, didn't I just read an article that Intel would dominate set-top boxes? :-)

Whatever, NSM will do fine with Windows 99 and NT 5.0 full-featured systems and may get some to a lot of the XC market with NSM's other core.

BTW, There is an excellent book called "Showstopper" that details the development of NT. Good stuff.
