No, not by scientists in peer reviewed journals. Sure a lot of liberals send tweets to each other claiming that the latest weather is due to hydrocarbons but that's not what the science says. Read the most recent IPCC. You'll find that there's little evidence that global warming is causing more extreme weather. In fact, the "extreme weather" crap was invented by people desperate to keep the global warming gravy train going even though temperatures quit rising.

It's not a matter of conservatives denying science. It's a matter of extreme ecologists making stuff up and calling it "science" as justification. And it's not the first time they've done this.

They did the same thing back in the 1970s when they told us that science proved that mankind would be starving by the 1980s. They're doing it now with various things like stirring the public up in fear of GMO foods.
