3, Thanks for the article on the Dimension XPS D300. I checked it out at Dell's web site. They don't mention Hitachi...but I believe the article. They have been selling the Altec Lansing speakers for more than a year in one model or another. The video cards and disk drives get replaced with better models, often from different vendors, every few months. Jack
