Barron's out with an article reporting some of the stocks mentioned in the recent "Value Investing Congress".
Some of the stocks mentioned as buys: MSG, URI, WSH, WPP CHS, URS, RLD, ASH
Here's a CNBC article about the Congress with more stocks that were recommended:

After scanning all the stocks mentioned, I only find two that interest me: URS, in which I've held a few shares for many years, and Chico FAS, which I will look at closer. All the other stocks---
--are too expensive at current high prices to interest me (BHI),
--have too much "could" or "might" in their recommendations -- as in margins "could improve", profits "could double", "might be a takeover", or
--trade below the speaker's opinion of intrinsic value (which value I've no way of confirming, e.g. Boyar's recommendation of MSG). |
