I assume when you are talking about 'k's and 'd's you are talking the stochastic indicator, right? I would guess you are also looking at daily data. My daily DMI crossed today, and the MACD looks like it could go any day...

The indicators for the weekly data, of course, will take more time. The trend will have to be more developed, stronger to make the weekly indicators cross.

Some people trade with the dailies, some the weeklies. Depends on how much time they have, how often they can or want to trade, what % accuracy they are expecting, what they consider a significant $ profit, etc. I use the weekly signals.
