QE buying is mostly MBS and Treasuries, but a lot of the money paid seems to be in excess bank reserves. And velocity of money seems stalled. Thus the present market bubble has as its underpinning exactly what?

I'm stumped.

Since much of the QE money seems not to be stimulative, it seems that taper could take place without doing too much damage to markets, despite hoopla.

The game IMO is in interest rates, which do affect everyone. They will be managed to the low side, but without inflation because QE is ineffective (just ask Japanese), gold seems stuck in a range for foreseeable future.
