I gave investor relations a call at Spartech and asked if their relationship with G.E. Plastics was new or ongoing. He said that they have dealt with G.E. for quite some time. He explained that G.E. Plastics is one of several major resin suppliers. When the researchers at G.E. come up with a new variation of plastic with different properties, they bring it to Spartech to take to their customers who may have an application for it.

The two brochures were reprints of articles (I unfortunately have thrown them away). One appeared in Plastic News, a trade publication. One new application was plastic on fire engines, the other was for shower stalls and similar uses. Hope this helps.
