I know we have all seen this video, probably more than once ...

youtube.com

.... but we need to file it away permanently in our consciousness.

I have had no more than a handful of heros in my life, and Larry Small is now one of them.

Granted, his courage in standing up at a public school meeting took place on the local level, but it represents a growing cancer in this country that, if not stood up to on the local level, threatens to become a national epidemic.

The powers that be authored completely tyrannical 'rules' by which this meeting was to be governed. They chose to field only pre-screened, softball questions regarding a national standard of education that threatens to propagandize all American children into becoming compliant, non-thinking state-directed automatons. And Larry Small not only would not stand by silently as the prescribed propaganda was disseminated, but he urged the others in the room to stop 'acting like cattle'.

Fewer and fewer Americans understand what our earlier forebears ... the likes of Thomas Paine and Sam Adams ... understood. Larry Small does. If an increasing number of people refuse to rebel locally against the self-proclaimed tyrants, as Larry did, the ability ... the God-given right ... to do so will be taken from us, forever.

Fear and indoctrination are fast becoming the rule of the day, as one of the highest priorities of this administration ... indeed the majority of our leadership in D.C. ... is the elimination in our children of the ability to critically think, and that can only be accomplished by eliminating in the parents of America the ability to critically speak. Larry Small demanded that he be accorded that right, and he was arrested.

The arrest did not hold, but others will. Our right to speak freely, and critically, is being incrementally stifled with each passing day. How many of your family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers would have had the courage to do what Larry Small did? Very few of mine would. And, until the majority of Americans muster that kind of courage, our descent into oppression and tyranny will continue, virtually unfettered.
