I read almost everything I can get my hands on. One reason I only follow twenty or less companies at one time is the volume of information available. You are absolutly correct about a computer generated system or any system that takes the human thought process out. A volume increase on a stock can have any number of different effects, and it takes the thought process to figure it out.

But, perception is a major factor. The price of a stock often moves on what people think. If Vectorvest has a strong following, it is quite possible that could move a stock.

I am not saying anything bad about Vectorvest, but my system is pretty conservative and I have been using it long enough that I probably can't be moved very far from the basic tenets.

One of the basic reasons I am attracted (and own some of) GLM is the demonstrated ability of its managment to produce quarter after quarter of increased earnings. They are consistantly executing plans that build in future value as well. That builds stockholder value which is what I want. I am not concerned about the recent downturn in price, these short term ups and downs are driven by the market. I didn't buy GLM because of what I thought the market would do, I bought it because of what I though the managment would do.

OK, I will quit running on.....
