The Democrats DO OWN Obamacare and if it turns out really lousy then the Republicans can Clean Up in the mid terms.

I don't think a shutdown is really that serious, but a DEFAULT is another story. Just the threat of a default in 2011 cost the U.S. a rating point.

The shutdown in 1996 didn't do Newt any good and his whole coalition but overall it wasn't a game changer.

A default or even the threat of a default is DIFFERENT.

Right now the Republicans seem to be putting themselves into a corner which could actually lead to a default.
