Yeah, too many are infected with old shibboleths. He ran a lean government dedicated to proper functions and allowed the market to work its magic. Likewise Harding allowed the '20 - '21 recession to quickly run its course, paving the way for success while Coolidge was Pres.

Mellon, fearing inflation, sterilized incoming Weimar gold with ill-advised bond sales, beginning the monetary contraction that led to the hard times. Both Hoover and FDR did a lot of "somethings" and really screwed the pooch.

Enough heavy reading and you might change your mind about a lot of things.
