Many of you may have heard about the Utah case where an 18 year old case was solved last week.. My friend's DNA sampling technology (M-Vac) was critical in solving that case.. sltrib.com The police had preserved the rocks they believed were used in the murder. And even 18 years, M-Vac was able to obtain sufficient "touch DNA" to provide a full DNA profile, which was then matched to the DNA of an individual who had committed a previous murder and had his DNA on file. 18 years later..
