David, your point became well-taken as the market got a bit of a rebound today... The Japanese, seems to me, can't afford to let the yen go above, say 140. At that point they have to start dumping their treasury holdings to force the dollar down (yen up). What do you think about the further risk of some large Japanese financial institutions going under? ... Apparently there were a lot of big loan programs into the SEA "Tigers" by the major Japanese banks. And my understanding is that they can't affort any more "hits" .. dlo
