Hi Dave: After getting my derriere handed to me on October 28, I refocused and reconcentrated the moolah. Right now - I have BORL (turnaround play but financially may have bought a acquisition a bit too big to handle), TSEMF (semi foundry selling under book and just a few times cash flow - should do very well by Q3 next year when new focus takes place), ADCT (expensive but good long term indirect play on communications), COHU (one of my all time favs), SVGI (just visited one of their locations - DUV lithography - should do extremely well over the next year and then some), WJ (who knows about these guys!!! but reasonable bet I think), BIKE (like their bikes...) & UTR of course. I think that's it - these 8 comprise the bulk (~90%) of my equity position. I have 5 other much smaller positions that I bought in those days when buying anything was a guarantee of success (i.e., 6 months ago).

One that I want to get into is HELX and another is UTEK. HELX is interesting. 3.6% dividend, high dividend growth, virtual monopoly, should be able to piggy back on the semi-equip makers for at least 20% EPS growth next 5 years. UTEK is another play on lithography but an unusual one.

As you pointed out lots of bargains. TSEMF was my most recent purchase after SVGI.

Good luck. I tend to concentrate on the semis and semiequips as you can see. One long term dollar cost averaging non tech stock that I'll bet the farm on is TOL. Great company. But unfortunately investors link the company to interest rates (they are an upscale home-builder) so it never rises in as straight a line as it should. Oh and my best long term mid-cap semi is ADI.

I've never bought large caps. Bought just one micro cap. Focus tends to be on small caps and mid-caps though recently 100-500 million in revenue seems to have become my sweet spot.

Cheers.

(Do you know the answer to the question of a couple of posts ago? Are the charts after a stock split adjusted for volume?)
