Yea, pretty much in line with what I'm saying and get called "liberal" for by the wackos on this thread. It's sad, but one or two more elections and you won't be able to get elected even in many red states if you act like these clownz that are having "their day in the sun"... over time sleazy carnival barkers reveal their true nature and put their foot in their mouths enough that they soon become irrelevant... such is the fate of Ted Cruz and many others. Anyone with 1/2 a brain in the boarder states know that "illegals" aren't equal to "sneaking across the boarder with drugs in their knapsacks".... and that a bill aimed at deporting all the "illegals" would be right up there with dumbest ass and most cruel ideas ever conjured up by the craziest politicians through history of the country. Real understanding of the problem is why even some of the most conservative politicians in boarder states think that's just stupid... you've got 50,000 illegals building condo's within a couple miles of the Texas state capital right here in Austin... everyone KNOWS their here building, and the businessmen in town put the freakin SMACKDOWN on Gov Perry to get a freakin grip or forget about his political future. The local paper estimates that 50% + of all construction workers in TX are "illegals".... something like 5-6 HUNDRED THOUSAND. The same is happening in AZ... there's not a hospitality business in PHX/SCOTTSDALE of any size without "illegals" working there.... in fact, in both cases getting those jobs is the road to becoming "legal" again. It's great having "illegals"... you can treat 'em like shit, fire 'em at will, and here in TEXAS you can even "forget" to pay 'em... the state has to PAY STATE WORKERS to field claims by illegals to get the pay they were promised!! LOL.... yea... those damn illegals... just ship 'em home... BUT WAIT!! NOT NOW... WAIT TILL WE DONT NEED EM!!! DAK
