Have been following the Troglitazone fallout - as has Biotech Holdings. It has long been the opinion of their research folks that some sort of fallout was due to happen to the first wave of insulin sensitizers coming on the market. They have been firm in their conviction that the remarkably benign side effects of DIAB II will be a huge ticket for their eventual success. There is also the theory that the second position drug often does better with the first drug of type on the market paving the way with expensive pr and education of the medical establishment. Lets hope phase three gives DIAB a blue ribbon and sufficient credentials for a significant publishable study.

It is hard for most folks to imagine that this company can be this far along with so little money and even less publicity. This spring should be very interesting. As far as an interested party ready to spring more $$$$ into Biotech - I can't confirm that - and I haven't spoken to anyone in the company who will do so. If the animal testing -which is being sought by the N. American pharmaceutical conglomerate as a final step to solidifying a Chinese marketing J/V with Bio - is successful - there is no telling where this drug development will lead or end - we do know that significant groundwork is being laid in many countries - hard to believe any company would go to this trouble without having something of substance.
