There is an end to this age and it is at the resurrection. "As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”" Matthew 24:2-4 The disciples already knew there was going to be an end to this age and they knew it was when Jesus came again. And then Jesus outlined for them the entire 70th week of Daniel (Matthew 24:1-31) and He clearly says He comes after the great tribulation which is 3 1/2 years long and starts when the antichrist comes and enters the new third temple in Israel, Matthew 24:15. Before that is 3 1/2 years of the times of sorrows. At the end of the great tribulation Jesus gathers His elect and then all who are left are thrown into the wine press of the wrath of God. Rev. 14:14-20. The Jews are doing as you say...they are trying to bring back the old testament (Babylonian Talmud) religion and they will do it. They will even build another Temple and restart the sacrifices. What they will get is Satan as the antichrist (anti meaning "in place of") and he enters the temple and demands to be worshiped as God. The Jews will suffer and they will repent and realize they've been deceived and they will turn to the real Jesus. Aren't you some sort of Catholic? Isn't that what you're referring to when you say the "holy church"?
