Most people are constantly mesmerized and hypnotized by what the talking heads on television tell them to think about (e.g., Islam is good, Obama is good, homosexuality is good, Blacks are downtrodden victims, Whites are evil racists, conservatives are bad, Democrats are good, etc.) They pump all of that asinine propaganda into the heads of viewers 24x7 via the news, commercials, television shows, movies, online content, etc.
It's as transparent as the day is long, but most people seem to believe anything and everything that the puppets on television say. The advent of television and movies drastically changed the world, because the smartest/wealthiest people realized how to use television to shape public opinion in subtle ways, using the power of suggestion, propaganda, and outright lies. I doubt if most people can see that or snap out of their media-induced trances. |
