I seem to remember that the Vatican had a secret alliance with Adolf Hitler and the Nazi's during WWII and were pretty much Jew haters all along. It's the same attitude I've heard from you these last 16 or so years we have been here on SI. (I can't believe it has been that long). The Jews are God's chosen people. Chosen to reveal God to the world and Jesus Christ. And they have suffered for it. They have been hated by the devil and those who are in league with him. I would not want to be in league with the Jew haters. Israel is the only nation that has promises from God. There is the fact that when we accept Jesus we are "grafted in" to the vine and become Jews. And the Jews who have been hardened are cast out. Not all Protestants agree with this "replacement theology" but it's what Paul wrote in Romans. But Israel and the hardened Jews still serve God's purposes here at the end of the age as they chase after "another god". "Do not rejoice, O Israel, with exultation like the nations! For you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved harlots’ earnings on every threshing floor." Hosea 9:1-3 "The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, Nor will I take their names upon my lips. " Psalm 16:3-5 They are the sign posts to the playing out of the end times. They are the last act. Jesus had 3 1/2 years (His earthly ministry) to start the times of the gentiles and Satan will have 3 1/2 years (the Great Tribulation) to end the times of the gentiles. The world will be plunged into the "Valley of Decision" (Joel 3:14) and everyone will have to decide whom they will serve. Jesus talked about His threshing floor. It is the time of the mark of the beast. Then the end can come. "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:11-13
