No it proves that humans make decisions based on cost, as any economic dunce knows. If asparagus is on sale, I buy it. If corn on the cob is on sale, I buy it. If chicken gets too expensive people stop buying it, period, and eventually it comes down in price. If it gets too cheap farmers stop breeding chickens, and it goes up. For a guy that loves capitalism you sure are myopic.
The inflation numbers ARE REAL, or as close as you're gonna come. GET OVER IT! It's so obvious, to the casual observer, that you are painfully pretzel twisting your mind(meld) to make the facts fit your suppositions.
